2024 is gearing up to be an intense, event-filled year for ARAG, market leader in innovation, development and production of precision farming systems with headquarters outside Reggio Emilia, which was acquired last year by Nordson Corporation. One of the first public events of the year was the recent participation in FIMA, the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery taking place February 13-15 in Zaragoza, Spain.
“We’re aiming to consolidate ARAG’s presence in this area of Europe in view of the growing interest in precision farming systems. Participating in FIMA is a strategic move for our company; there we exhibited the main technological innovations in production, the result of very precise design and development” commented Victor Gottardi, Vice President and Division Leader of ARAG Group.
February also saw ARAG as exhibitors, through its American branch, in two important trade fairs in North America: The National Farm Machinery Show, an exhibition of agricultural machinery held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, and the World AG Expo, the annual outdoor trade show at the International Agri-Center in Tulare, California. The wide range of solutions developed for the U.S. enables ARAG to be an increasingly competitive player thanks to its extensive line and product quality.
The schedule continues for ARAG in March with the trade fairs Expoagro in Argentina (March 5-8) followed by Agrishow from April 29 - May 3 in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil with an eye to market expansion that in early 2024 includes North and South America, as well as Europe.
ARAG’s presence in these major international fairs confirms the business strategy of the company, which topped off 2023 with an important inauguration: the opening of the sixth assembly unit in a new area in front of the Rubiera headquarters.
“The new area dedicated to assembly of electric valves,” says the company, “readily responds to the growing market demand for one of the most requested and high-performing ARAG products.”
The space has been studied in detail to engineer an optimal flow of work to ease logistics and functionality. From optimization of part availability, with special shelving to facilitate component logistics, to ergonomic workstations, as well as testing and quality control benches. The new assembly unit integrates production, managing to connect all processes of the value chain.
This valve type is the essential component for the correct output of liquids in modern crop sprayers; it allows agrochemicals to be reduced to the minimum, preserving land and crops in keeping with sustainability aims and reduced environmental impact.
“The optimization of processes and the creation of a newly designated space,” concludes the company, “can only lead to benefits in terms of productivity increases.”
